Coron El Nido Expedition (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent guide to multi-day boat expeditions between Coron and El Nido. We are an affiliate of GetYourGuide and Viator, and our hotel links run through Stay22. We do not sell tickets or take bookings ourselves. This page explains what data this website handles and who handles the rest.
Bookings are processed by the platforms, not by us
When you click a booking link on this site, you leave it for the platform that sells that expedition, tour or hotel room:
- GetYourGuide, for most of the expeditions and tours on this site. Review the GetYourGuide privacy policy.
- Viator, for the expeditions sold there. Review the Viator privacy policy.
- Stay22 and the hotel booking site it sends you to, such as Booking.com, for accommodation. Review the privacy policy shown on the booking site before you book.
Your name, contact details, payment details and booking information are collected and processed by that platform under its own privacy policy. We never see your payment details. The platforms may tell us that a booking was made through one of our links, with details such as the product, date and commission, so that they can pay us; this does not identify you to us by name.
Information this website collects
- Website analytics. We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, time on the site, the type of device and an approximate location at city or country level.
- Affiliate tracking. Our booking links and widgets carry partner and campaign codes, and the platforms may set cookies when you click through so they can credit the booking to us.
- Email. If you email us, we keep your email address and message so we can reply.
We do not collect or store payment information, booking details, passport or ID numbers, or precise location data.
How we use this information
- To answer messages sent to us by email.
- To improve the site’s content and fix problems.
- To see which pages and links are useful to readers, in aggregate.
Cookies
This site and the platforms we link to use cookies for analytics and for affiliate tracking. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, although the booking platforms may then be unable to credit a booking to us.
Third-party services
- Viator: processes bookings and payments for the expeditions sold on Viator. Privacy policy.
- GetYourGuide: processes bookings and payments for the expeditions and tours sold on GetYourGuide, and provides the booking widgets shown on some pages. Privacy policy.
- Stay22 and hotel booking sites: process hotel searches and bookings made through our accommodation links.
- Google Analytics: measures how the site is used. Privacy policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the GDPR may give you the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to its processing and to receive a copy of it.
- For booking data, contact the platform you booked with (Viator, GetYourGuide or the hotel booking site), using the details in your confirmation email.
- For data this website holds, such as an email you sent us, write to info@coronelnidoexpedition.com.
Data retention
- Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our analytics tool, up to 26 months.
- Email correspondence is kept for up to two years, or until you ask us to delete it.
Children’s privacy
This website does not knowingly collect data from children under 16. Bookings must be made by adults on the booking platforms.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will appear on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
